I set up my blue tent at the annual Elks car show. This was a fun event for everyone! I felt so happy eating my favorite dessert from the ice cream truck. Yes, ice cream makes me happy, and all my problems go away while I eat my special treat. I enjoyed meeting the people who visited my booth. It was a nice way to spend a hot summer day.

National Night Out in Clifton Park, NY. I set up my book table amid Public Safety Information booths, EMS Displays, Law Enforcement, local Fire Departments, and many other vital components of this wonderful town. The night was a blast!
I set up shop at the Adirondack Greek Festival. This event took place at Saint George Antiochian Orthodox Church in South Glens Falls, NY. The parishioners of this quaint church were very inspiring as many I met were converts to the faith. I was delighted to donate 15% of my sales to this growing community.
I love car shows as they take me back to simpler times. I set up my table at the Saratoga Gastro Associates parking lot. This event was held by this practice to support the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation. I was delighted to see so many cars in mint condition. I felt like I was back in time. I was humbled to donate 15% of my sales to this organization.
It was so nice to be at the Saint Sophia Greek Orthodox Church for their 50th Festival Celebration. I had my books set up in the AGORA Marketplace. It was fun to be with so many diverse vendors. My new book, The Greek Girl, was well received.
What an enjoyable experience at this terrific private school. Students and teachers, pre-K thru 4th grade, gathered in the STEM classroom to hear my presentation. It was a true learning experience shared by all. I was inspired by the questions as the creativity and intelligence fostered by this dynamic school was truly revealed.
It was a pleasure being there and I hope other schools could learn of the benefits of the “Where’s the Ramp?” presentation. How amazing is this?! I am donating 10% of the purchase price of the book to the YMCA to provide the joy of sailing to those with disabilities through the Y-Knot program at Camp Chingachgook on Lake George.
Additionally, the Y assists children in need with brand new clothes each August so they can begin the new school yeat feeling more confident. A sunny day and terrific event at the Clifton Park Commons. After the parade, many folks stopped by my booth. I displayed many laminated slides related to the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act. It was a fun day that ended in a vibrant fireworks display.
What an amazing morning. I visited Mother Teresa Academy in Clifton Park, NY. Students in Nursery and Kindergarten listened attentively for 45 minutes. A Q & A followed the presentation. The students especially enjoyed learning about the crosswalks that were designed for people who are visually challenged. The event was super fun and the students were eager to learn. I loved the uniforms.
Thank you for letting me share this special event. I gave 5 signed copies to the Langan School which provides educational opportunities at the Center for Disability Services. The books were donated by 16 Handles of Clifton Park, NY. Also, I provided proceeds of my book sales to the Center for Disability Services. It was a meaningful day!!
